Active in Food Ministry
​Food Pantry
Canned goods, non-perishable food items, personal care items and money are collected on the fifth Sundays of the month. Food and money are divided between the Prince of Peace Food Pantry and the DMARC Food Pantry. Prince of Peace also has a small pantry that is available for the Pastors to provide help to members of the church and people who come in need to our church. Personal care items are donated to St. Mary's Family Center.

Hunger Hike
Our church has many dedicated walkers who collect pledges and walk up to five miles on a fall Sunday afternoon in the annual Des Moines Hunger Hike.  Donations go to local organizations to fight hunger as well as to national and international organizations.

Heifer Project
Sunday School offerings have been donated to the Heifer Project. The children like to purchase the animals for families living in extreme conditions.
